Chloe speaks at LGBT Pride event in Norwich
Chloe Smith MP today spoke at the LGBT Pride event in Norwich.
Speaking at 12.30 and joining the parade afterwards, Chloe's comments included;
"It is another mark of Norwich's culture and sense of self that we have such a vibrant event right here in the centre of the city. The organisers and participants today should be proud indeed.
"Looking to the future, I want to see events like this kept safe and enjoyable for everyone. I want to see any kids in the crowd today grow up in our schools without having to face homophobic bullying. I want to see anyone here be free to go into any walk of life.
"I also want to see tolerance in public life. I know that the new generation of politicians in Westminster now, after the general election, is a group that welcomes difference. I am honoured myself to have been asked to speak at Norwich Pride."
