Normal service will be resumed as soon as possible - Tom Harris MP

MANY of you will have noticed by now that things haven’t been operating at all smoothly here at Harris Towers recently. Many readers are being denied access to the site with various baleful warnings that if they do visit the site, they’ll be struck down by all sorts of malevolent viruses. Apparently I may have been hit with a “Denial-of-Service” attack in the early hours of this morning. Which is ironic, given that I personally moved legislation to increase the sentences for the perpetrators of such attacks.

Now that I come to think of it, “ironic” doesn’t quite fit. “Inevitable”, maybe…

Putting my technical hat on, I think this the subsequent issues have something to do with bits of the internet going wonky. I am informed by my webmaster, Mike Rouse, that things will be put right over the weekend, but this will mean that the site will be down for various periods, particularly from Saturday at 12 noon for about 24 hours.

Please bear with me. I’m sorry for any inconvenience caused.
